Here after a long time the first EP release on Best Record containing new unreleased music. Afrodesia project born from a close collaboration between Periodica Records and Best Record featuring @mysticjungle & @mannywhodamanny. Afrodesia took inspiration from the italian afro-movement that lasted for few years during mid-eighties especially from those songs produced at the legendary Les Folies Studios in Milan. Afrodesia sounds balearic boogie afro and cosmic with heavy use of original past synths and drum machines programmed and played by Dario Di Pace, Raffaele Arcella and real acoustic instruments thanks to the musicians : Giulio Neri (Tenor Saxophone and vocals), Andrea Farias (Guitar), Davide Di Sauro (Bass) and the late George Aghedo (Percussion).

"Who was that guy?" "No clue, but he seemed nice enough." A smooth, jazzy cover of one of my favorite Persona tracks, which could very well end up being a motif in a Persona 5 work where a certain bastard shows up. (Probably not the ACAU, but who knows? I don't know who ends up making an appearance)
Logic's beefing up their horn samples, brether. I'm loving it~ All composed, arranged, and produced by me.
For starters, today is Rients' 35th Birthday so let's wish him a happy birthday! It is always a very special treat when the Dutch fusion master Rients Draaisma performs, and here he's joined me again on our original, Something Higher. Rients http://www.rientsdraaisma.com is as deep as guitarists get - simply brilliant - a world class musician who is humble and inspiring to so many. Check out the lines he creates here over the churning 12/8 time signature. With Rients' guitar mastery, there certainly has to be something higher. Rients has a number of albums out, including Home is Here and his most recent iJAM, which is available through iTunes https://music.apple.com/nl/album/ijam-2016/1218252798 , and is currently finishing something new for us! Check out his superb gallery of music: https://soundcloud.com/rients-draaisma and his YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiKo-VxfXcQvecML3kQhhuw. Take a look at the live video here of Rients' unique approach to guitar soloing - one that has made him one of the most exciting players I have ever, ever heard. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJo8o4n6xgA Thanks as always for your generous time listening, for your comments and for your shares
